Honor In Action. With over 40,000 veterans living in Cobb County alone, it is critical that our community come together to uplift veteran support services and programs so no veteran or their family is left behind. 

Connecting Georgia Veterans (CGV) Strategy Team convenes quarterly in-person meetings for a wide range of stakeholders who serve veterans in Cobb County, from the boots on the ground efforts to the policy level decision makers. Together, this group aims to raise awareness of the challenges veterans face, share veteran resources and services that exist in our community and statewide, identify gaps to determine needs or programs, and coordinate best practices to remove barriers and create more opportunities for the veterans in our communities. 

Following networking, CGV will host a Town Hall–style meeting featuring Cobb Board Chairwoman Lisa Cupid. Chairwoman Cupid will discuss county priorities, community challenges, and the importance of collaboration in addressing issues such as veteran homelessness, housing stability, and access to critical services. The town hall format will allow for open dialogue and audience engagement, making this a valuable opportunity to be part of the conversation.
